dum dee dum.. was doing morning duty as usual.. standing outside the general office there.. looking at the late comers write down their names with i think eunice.. UNTIL... kerin "eyy u do announcing. take over andrew.. we need to go up to the hall for upper sec assembly.." thought she was talking to eunice.. den she passed the book to me.. den i was like.. WHAT?? NOOOOO!! WHY MUST YOU ALL GO UP SO FAST??! den kerin said cos mrs lim asked them to go up alr.. den she quickly went through and taught me how to do announcing properly.. while the sec 1s and 2s were still reading, i quickly took the oppourtunity to try to rehearse to myself. then i saw sth.. ".... no need to go for step up step down...." den i was like.. HUH?? step down?? panicked.. asked alex.. dunno why he was still there but yeahh.. den he cancelled it and wrote down.. kk.. DEN.. heard ms tham ask them to keep their reading materials.. den i was like. oh sharks man.. i'm gna diee.. den i stood by the side there.. she signalled me to go.. so i just walked to the front.. so scary cann!! went up the steps.. and just started reading out the announcement.. when i finished, walked back.. den eunice and stella told me i didnt say "good morning kcpians, here are the announcements for today.." den i was like.. OHYA HORR!! ~.~ shite. ohwells~ den during recess kerin asked me how was announcing.. i told her it sucked.. den she said sth like i should practice more and announce more often..

and to add on to that.. we had functions meeting yst.. kerin wrote down which sec 2 councillor wants to do what.. i ddnt know what to do.. so i said dunno lor.. den she wrote down commanding and announcing.. @#$%*&!^#%$# BLEAH. and she put late coming as OPTIONAL what the heck. KERIN! CANCEL IT!!!!! ESPECIALLY COMMANDING!!!!!

i wanna thank a few people during drill com. they really comforted me and helped me calm down.

thank you minyi for being so nice to our batch/contingent. thank you for your comforting after the whole thing.
thank you jingyi for comforting me all the way from after the results to the bus.
thank you hannah for encouraging me when the results were announced.
thank you sec 1s for also comforting and encouraging me that at least we didnt get cop..

i also want to thank vivien.. even though i might feel quite irritated with her at times, i wna thank her for comforting me after we finished fancy drill. she was the one that walked to the holding room with me comforting me all the way.. michelle too, both of them came up with all their lame excuses on why i was tearing..

i also want to thank caihua and ms jasmine tan. even though they might not be near us on purpose so that they can cheer us up, they were in the bus cracking up lame and funny jokes on their ranks and stuff.. lol.. they really made me laugh..

yupp. just wanna thank all these people since i didnt have a chance and might not dare to do so when i meet them..

i miss drill.. i miss the scoldings.. i miss the commandings.. sobbs..

i can straightly tell u that most of us wants to have drill practices like we had before drill com. we all miss drill now.. and every now and then when i go online, at least one person will tell me that she misses drill.. sigh.. drill drill DRILL!!! where are u now??

they said that drill com is once every 2 years. so that means my batch will be down for drill com again in 2009?! ohman.. even though i'll miss all the things mentioned above, and yes i want to go for drill com again and do much better, i dont to become so black!! seriously, i want to take part again because of all the fun we had.. but at the same time.. it'll be really tiring.. esp since 2009 will be my o level year.. sighh.. but.. one strange things is that the last drill com was held 3 years ago..

format drill is now over. the drill that we've been practicing so hard for the past 3 - 4 months. was kinda screwed. prolly cos we were all nervous. knew we could have done better. almost cried when minyi, yiye and jasmine (JOs) were comforting us. could see that they too felt hurt because of our performance. could see that they too were upset. could see that they too were disappointed. but, i could see that they were trying to comfort us. because they know that when we see them crying or being so upset, we too will cry or be even more upset and keep blaming ourselves. i think they put up a really brave front infront of us.
oh. on friday they told us to bring our full u and coated boots to school at 1pm, then we could go back home to rest and report to school at 6pm. thought that was really crazy of them asking us to do that, but i saw their real good intentions. they asked us to bring our full u so early because they were helping us do up all the accesorries properly, iron it and stuff like that. we were told by ssgt minyi that our uniform were ironed FIVE times. they even helped us put on our lanyards and ranks!! thanks loads!! and as for the coated boots, they helped us to coat even more and then at night when we were sleeping, they were polishing all our boots. u should have seen all our boots man. its so shiny, you could see ur teeth in ur reflection when u smile. :D i must thank ms jasmine tan. she told me that i didnt coat my boots and she took 2 hours to coat and polish them. thanks lotss!! (even though i coated almost everyday except for last wed.) but still.. thanks loadss ms tan!! when we were in the dance room. we were treated like 'princesses'. ALL the JOs were like helping us do everything.. first station : they helped us put on our uniform nicely and arranged it properly. second station : they helped us put on our cap, tie up our hair, pin up some loose hair, spray hair spray so that our hair would not be so messy. third station : they helped us put on our boots. isnt that cool or what? but when we got onto the bus, we werent able to sit down.. cos they say later our skirts get crumpled than will not pass uniform inspection. so we all kneeled down on the seats and almost everyone who drove pass us were like staring at us. when we reached there, the bus driver turned it wrongly? than guess whi i saw??! i saw REBECCA!!! seriously. i think ALL the JOs have put in ALOT ALOT of effort in this drill competition. but yet, we let them down. sorry. when i saw the pioneers cry, it just makes me feel like crying too. seeing everyone putting their all in drill practices and in the end, screwing up drill com. but everyone's bound to make mistakes. so its ok people. all thats over is over. lets move on. lets not think back on what has already happened. it's happened. so be it. we cant change the past. lets focus on the future. lets focus on fancy drill.

yay. back from drill camp(:

was quite fun.. marching at night, sleepless nights, countless mosquito bites, rushed bathing times, continuous sweating, changing parades, singing our hearts out, playing games, being forced to finish eating our meals... etc
yeap. that mostly sums up everything huh. ohwell. i'll just write down the stuff that i can remember.

1st Day

we were supposed to fall in at 7pm. but we were late by ten minutes. cos we didnt know what to do. like whether we should fall in as a company or fall in in our cont. or just report. so.. yeah. the seniors.. oops! i mean pioneers told us to fall in as a cont. ok, so we did. den they scolded us... afterwhich we went to put our stuff at ms tay's homeroom, cleared all the tables and chairs. after that i think we fell in into our cont. and started to do drill. do do do. we were doing sizing up den had to shout our numbers, and the commanders were practicing their commanding. den it was also quite late at night, so the residents complained. we were told the next night that the police came. anyway, after doing drill, we were told that we were allowed to bathe for half an hour for both cont. we rushed and grabbed our clothes and ran downstairs to the toilets, were one of the first to reach the toilets, so we were the first batch to bathe(: after bathing, we reported and they told us that we have to coat our boots with our fingers before we sleep and after we wake up the next morning. so.. imagine the feeling of being so refreshed after bathing and the next thing u know is that your fingers are all black and smelly from the kiwi. blah. neways, went to wash up and everything. lights went off at i think 12.30? yeah.. so tossed and turned, couldnt sleep. all of a sudden, i was scratching all over my hands and legs.. (i wasnt wrapped up in the sleeping bag cos i didnt like the feeling of being so hot before going to sleep) den, seok yin and hui yun started talking, den they went out of the room. thought seok yin was feeling a little unwell since she was sick on the first day of camp. din bother to ask them since i wanted to try to get to sleep as early as possible. den hui yun asked vivien for mosquito repellent. i sat up and asked her if she also got bitten by mosquitos. and aloha. she got bitten too. so vivien told us that she has baby powder and she dosent mind letting us use some for the mosquito bites as mosquitoes are scared of that smell. yeah..so finished putting went back to the classroom and tried to get to sleep again. tossed and turned, still couldnt sleep. heard sonja's watch at 2am. tried even harder to sleep as i only have about 5 more hours to sleep. so i soon fell asleep.

2nd Day

woke up, went to wash up and quickly coated our boots with our fingers. went down to report.. we had morning devotion. if im not wrong our group had xinyi as the 'leader' for devotion. she's nice. she shares lots of her experiences she had experienced or experiencing. yeap. neways, after that had breakfast. we had bread and kaya. 3 packets of bread! heard that joey ate 6 breads. haha. you go girl! den after that i think we had singsparation. if that's how u spell it. had lots of fun. nice songs. after that i think we did drill.. drill drill drill.. den lunch time! we had trouble finishing up all our food as we cant have alot of leftovers. joey left about half her packet of food left. duh right. she ate 6 breads!! den the pioneers came to the rescue once again. they helped us finish up the food even though they were already very bloated. den we reported and had drill. most of our stomachs ached. bathing time! at abouT 4.30? i was thinking why they asked us to bathe so early.. anyways, bathed. the seniors complained.. cos alot of us were taking our time and they had no time to bathe. cos they let us bathe first. but of cos i didnt take my time. =D left 5-10 minutes. and still have about 10-15 people havent bathe yet.. sorry and thank you pioneers! neways, after bathing, had to report again. (before or after everything we have to report and the JOs will tell us what we're going to do next) report under the sun some more. started sweating. so now our hairs are wet cos we just finished bathing and wet with sweat. eeeew. cant rmb what we did after that. skip to drill again! do until at night. minyi let us have some bonding time with our cont. yeah. our cont. felt very guilty of holding the pioneers up during bathing time, cos they were all like shouting at us to hurry up. so we gathered around them, of course they got suspicious of what we were doing and jac started fooling around. after quite a long time, we were able to say sorry and get on with our bonding time. suddenly they came up with this suggestion that we have a cheer for each group. hahah. after bonding session, we pleaded minyi to let us play whacko. so she allowed. played double whacko. diana kena twice. lol! ^^ after that had worship.. WAAITT!!! that's wierd! how come have worship in the morning and at night?? hmmm.. i alr told u i cant remember events accordingly.. so sorry people.. so.. we either have worship at night or in the morning or both.. or was the night worship last night? OHWELLS~ cant rmb. hah. night night. had drill again. I THINK. den sleeping time. they JOs said they had opened the toilets to let us bathe again if we wanted to. i wanted to bathe.. but was too lazy to. cos i cant sleep well all sweaty and uncomfortable remember? hahah. so we coated our boots again and washed up and slept. SUPRISINGLY i could sleep! hahah. prolly cos i was quite tired. but as we were going to sleep, the JOs put the mosquito coil thing in our bunks. so thoughtful of them! thanks!! =D

3rd Day

woke up. bleah. still very tired. had devotion. afterwhich was breakfast. reported.. blah blah blah.. den went to church!! they have youth service. GB took up about half the mph. heh. their worship was quite nice. =DD after church, we reported and had drill. under the hot hot sun. but i think the JOs were quite nice. they made the commanders face the sun instead of us. THANKS! yeahh.. after drill, err. err. think we had some debrief. they seperated both cont.s yeahh. minyi and caihua took us. they made minyi name out all our mistakes one by one. which i think is good so we can improve on our own weaknesses. yupp. den we changed out into shoes. fell out and camp was officially over. the JOs said that there were some cookies for us to eat if we want some.. u know.. the chinese new year type of goodies. hui yun took one. she said it was very nice. told her to take another one. but she say like very paiseh. hahah.. den caihua came with a bottle of pineapple tarts and said that each of us MUST take one. den hui yun went like : "YAY!! REALYY AR??" lol. den she faster grabbed a pineapple tart.
called mum to pick me up. din want to walk back home with all the barang barang. so waited for about 5 min. told her i havent eaten my lunch yet. she said there was some vegetarian beehoon left. i didnt want so she passed me a macdonal's coupon. ^^ so she dropped me off and i walked in to buy macs. saw cheryl and jacqueline and some others. heard jac say sth like.. "whaa, she so fast reach home ar?" lol. den after crossing the road form the bus interchange to the j8 building, saw chrystal, zena and vivien. they were also there for lunch. hee. anyway. bought a mac chicken burger for bros. cos i thought they might want one. reached home, put the macs plastic bag in front of them and i went to washed my hands. when i came back, saw my younger brother eating one of my mcnuggets and my older brother also eating my mcnuggets. lol.

hai.. lizzie went to nz last night.. didnt manage to see her off .. had tuition.. when my younger bro
and i went back home(my brother went for tuition too), we saw a plane.. well.. couldnt really see the plane but we saw the lights.. we just stood down there looking up at the sky thinking that that might be liz's plane heading towards nz.

ohwell.. shouldnt think too much about that..

was just thinking back on the public caning the school experienced before it ended.. to think that public caning is actually for humliation instead of the pain.. i don really think caning will help.. if the school wants to humiliate them, ask them to do stupid and dumb stuff.. like.. i dunno.. like.. doing the chicken dance, sing in the mike.. or walk like a duck around the stage or sth.. i really dunno.. haha.. just some random thoughts..

damn.. now my dad dosent allow me to eat dinner w/ vivien and zena.. @#&$

9 more days to drill competition!! 1 more day to drill camp. man hope it'll be fun.. not torturous.. esp with our contingent's condition.. people hating one another.. how are we going to go on like this? vivien told me sth like she wants to talk more to ke hui which is GOOD!! hope she really means it.. hope she really does it.. hope she really wants to change..

i'll be missing tuition for 3 weeks this month.. which is like.. YAY!! BUT
i'll be missing church for 3 weeks this month too.. which is like.. BOO!! ):

all the 3 saturdays will be taken up by drill camp and com.. really worried for drill com.. with all the hard effort we put in since dec last year.. i hope it'll not go to waste.. dad keeps saying that they are over training us.. which i think is a 50/50 thing.. yes, they have overtrained us because at one point of time, our contingent could bang as one.. we could give them solid bangs.. but now.. we only can bang as one occasionally.. no, they haven't overtrain us yet because we are still not banging as one.. as what i've said earlier, maybe because we were getting tired of drill.. maybe because there have been more conflict within our contingent.. maybe because we were not trying as hard as we used to.. maybe because we are not so interested in drill as much as we used to before we were being trained continuously..
who will not be tired when we got to go down to school 3 times a week during the dec holidays i ask you ..

did flag raising in front of the whole school yesterday.. was a total disasteR i must say. i did the national flag on mon.. but did the school flag yst.. it was my first time raising the school flag and i didnt how fast or how slow i needed to go.. so... yeah.. when the national anthem finished.. i still had a long way up to go.. so i just quickly pulled the string.. was so embarrasing can! anw.. din really know how to tie the string so just twirl it round and round.. den after morning assembly when i was heading to science class, benjamin called me.. he re-tied the string and told me to do flag raising on the first week of school.. i was like.. wth??! ohman.

screw e learning.. so lag.. did science alr.. such stupid questions she asked i must say. only got 4/10 lol.. here are some of the questions :

holidays always mean busy schedules.. for this march, wed-fri need to do e learning.. fri-sun having drill camp.. that means i got to miss tuition and church.. on mon having some primary school prefects camp.. luckily it's a day camp.. tuesday's a free day!! wed-thurs going to malaysia with some friends.. and the rest of the hols will be free days too.. hope drill camp will be quite fun.. pray hard that they would not torture us so much like atc camp.. till here~
